My Latest Obsession...

I'm not sure what it is about these Pure Innocence images by Heather Ellis but I am in love with them! They are ideal to practice coloring with Copics...yes, I admit it, I too, have jumped into the Copic Black Hole! 'Just wanted a few to get me started ... ya' right! Anyway, it's such fun! These two images are 'digicharacterstamps' downloaded from her etsy site. I printed then onto SU Whisper White cardstock, let the ink dry well and colored them with Copics. The card on the left showcases a patterned paper from PTI's Green Boutique paper pack with Leaf Green and Hawaiian Shore cardstock. The gem on the right combines SU Melon Mambo, PTI Hibiscus and Aqua Mist cardstock with MME Quite Contrary patterned papers ... so {cute}!

Easter Tags

Easter came and went so quickly this year. We were busy getting my youngest ready for a trip to Wales to play rugby. He returned yesterday, injury free and full of wonderful stories! Easter has now past but I wanted to post the little gift tags I made for my nieces. I figured the Easter Bunny would bring them LOTS of chocolate so opted for a bag full of bath treats I found at Pier I.
I used a bevy of Papertrey Ink products to make the cute tags to clip onto their treat bags.

I received this beauty a few weeks ago from my friend, Carmen. Sahara Sand, Glossy White paper and Vanilla Taffeta highlighted with vintage brads--what a beautiful combination--soft and oh, so elegant. She used the emboss resist technique to produce this lovely card. And the size, so sweet! Honestly, I just love everything about this little gem! Thank You so much, Carmen:)

It's a Colour Renovation! News from Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up! has just announced a refreshing, updated colour palette!
Edit: A big "Thank You" to Nicole Kowalk for sharing the jpegs of all the color charts! Makes for a much more colourful post!
With the new catalogue, due for release in July 2010, will come 4 new colour Collections--Brights Collection, Neutrals Collection, Regals Collection and Subtles Collection. These collections will include some New Colours, (how yummy does Cherry Cobbler sound?!), some all time Favourite Core Colours (with a name change for Kraft to Crumb Cake) and the welcomed return of some favourite past In-Colours. I can't tell you how happy I am to see River Rock, Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red back in the mix!! Wanna' See?

So, whatch' think? Here's a close up of the New & Returning Core colours--they'll be with us year 'round!

As of June 30, we will be bidding farewell to 30 current colours from the 4 current colour families as well as 3 of the current In-Colours, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Dusty Durango.
Just as before, each new catalogue will introduce New In-Colours. These In-Colours will be staying for 2 years instead of one. This means one year of overlap for the In-Colours--isn't that great news!
So, you have from now until June 30, 2010 to stock up on product in any of your favourite, due to retire colours. Be sure you order reinkers for pads you already have so you can keep enjoying those colours after they retire! Ribbons, embellishments, classic and craft ink pads will be retired and product will be available now while supplies last. Email or call your orders to me!
